“Foolishness is spending millions on bride price, marriage lists for a woman whom several men knacked for free”

A Nigerian man King Chidi voiced controversial opinions regarding the practice of paying a woman’s bride price.

The tweets have since gone viral and sparked a heated debate across social media platforms.

Chidi expressed his viewpoint, stating that it is foolish to spend substantial amounts of money on bride price, elaborate marriage lists, and extravagant wedding ceremonies for women who have had multiple sexual partners in the past.

He likened this traditional custom to indirectly compensating all the men who had engaged in relationships with the woman for free.

He wrote;
