Natacha Akide aka Tacha, the Big Brother Naija reality TV star, has attacked feminism in Nigeria.
She calls Nigerian feminism witchcraft.
She mentioned this in her most recent interview, when discussing her struggle with Mummy Zee.
Tacha previously spoke about Mummy Zee in an interview on her colleague Phyna’s show, who became famous for getting up at 4:30 a.m. every day to prepare for her husband.
A social media user informed Mummy Zee that Tacha was criticizing her on a show, and Mummy Zee answered, “That one wey no get sense.”
Tacha, who thought the woman’s statement rude, responded harshly in a series of social media posts.
However, in a viral interview with renowned media personality Chude Jideonwo, Tacha rejected the X user’s claims, claiming that she was supporting Mummy Zee on the broadcast.
While explaining her own feminism, Tacha branded Nigeria’s as witchcraft.
“So, I was literally praising this woman on my show, saying why was feminist trolling her because I love feminist then.
“I was like the feminism you people practiced in Nigeria is witchcraft because when you are supposed to come out you people won’t come out but for the wrong things you just hate men in general. That’s not what I practiced.”
