Everlast celebrates 30th anniversary of House of Pain’s debut album.
Everlast, the House of Pain’s legendary emcee recently made a stop at Sway In The Morning show on Shady 45 to celebrate the 30-year anniversary of his hip-hop trio’s debut album. During the conversation, the rapper was asked about his infamous beef with Eminem, and what’s the deal between them now.
“Here’s the deal with that, we had our moment, the dude never ever banned me from this station like he’s done to a lot of people. [Everyone laughs] Am I lying? Is that false information because if it is let me know,” says Everlast.
“Eminem has personally never banned no one,” responds Sway.
Everlast continued, “There’s people who have not been allowed up in here. I’m aware of it Okay cool that’s fair enough. But let’s say some people can’t come up here and you would think I would be one of them at some point and there never way. I’ve always been told dude [Eminem] actually like me, I’ve always liked dude. It was kind of just a misunderstanding when we met. I took it personal I said something on a record in code and he caught it, said something back like he was a sharp dude. And then I had to respond and then it just kind of went nowhere we had too many friends in common, they were all boom. So it kind of just died off. So as far as I know and I’m concerned I don’t care I mean the dude’s alright with me. I think he’s one of the best rappers to ever live, we had our moment. We’ll never be best friends or anything but I got no beef.”
“I think he’s one of the best rappers that’s ever lived.”
