“Even Starboy nah Chosen” – Attention falls on old tweet of Wizkid amid ‘I Am A Chosen’ trend

  • A tweet made by Wizkid 11 years old declaring himself as the ‘Chosen’ one has amassed attention from cybernauts.
  • This comes amid the viral ‘I’m A Chosen’ trend which was triggered by clips of extraordinary testimonies shared by members of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries which made rounds on social media.
  • The resurfaced tweet by Wizkid has now become a subject of discussion online.

Grammy winner, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, better known as Wizkid is on the news again due to an old post which appears to be trending due to current buzz in the Nigerian social media space.

Lately, countless videos of members of The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries sharing jaw-dropping testimonies flooded the internet. Some of them sounded too extraordinary to be true (like that of a woman who narrated how a lion harmlessly transported her) which left many sceptical thereby leading to the ‘I’m A Chosen’ trend.

In light of this, netizens on the microblogging app, X (formerly Twitter) have dug up a tweet made by Wizkid where he noted that he’s Chosen.

The old tweet subsequently left netizens humorously suggesting that Wizkid is also a ‘Chosen’.

In a different report, Sonia Adesuwa, the former wife of Nigerian footballer Jude Ighalo reacted to swirling rumours about him expecting a child with his fiancee.

The whispers suggest that Ighalo, who shares three children with Sonia, is expecting his fourth child.

Unfazed by the gossip, Sonia took to Instagram to share her thoughts. With a string of laughing emojis, she playfully dismissed the rumours, indicating her focus lies elsewhere. Sonia who is currently on a campaign assured her followers she’d return before the baby’s naming ceremony, implying she’s unbothered by Ighalo’s personal life.

Referencing Davido’s hit song “Unavailable,” Sonia quoted the lyrics to reiterate how unperturbed she is.
