Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has praised his midfielder Mykhailo Mudryk ahead of his side’s clash against Arsenal.
In a recent interview ahead of the much anticipated London derby, the Blues manager said that Mudryk is smart and sensitive, and is gradually settling in at Stamford Bridge.
Pochettino said, “After three months he is not a different player because we are not magic but he’s a different person.”
Mudryk who joined Chelsea from Shakhtar Donetsk in January, has been struggling to adapt to the Premier League. However, Pochettino believes that Mudryk is improving and needs more time to understand the game better.
“We’re starting to see how lovely this guy is. Smart, sensitive… players can start to express their talent in football when they feel trust,” Pochettino added
Chelsea have been marred with injury problems ahead of the match against Arsenal.
Pochettino revealed that he was forced to hold training with only three senior players available.
Despite the challenges, Pochettino is confident that his team will perform well against Arsenal. “We have a lot of respect for Arsenal, but we are ready for the challenge,” he said.
