Ex-Arsenal midfielder, Jack Wilshere, has said the Gunners will not win the title this season
However, Wilshere feels if the board continues to support Mikel Arteta, the team is capable of achieving it in the future.
Arteta spent £150million in the summer to bring in young talent into his squad.
His six signings, all aged 24 and under, have sparked a revival at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal are currently sitting in the fourth spot in the Premier League and 15 points behind league leaders Manchester City.
Wilshere told talkSPORT: “I think with the right backing and bringing the right players in.
“He [Arteta] definitely has a clear structure and philosophy of the way he sees football.
“Listen, they’re not going to win the league this year.
“But in the next two or three years, if they can get into the top four, get a few big signings in, give them time to settle and see how the manager wants them to play.”
