Enyimba Appoints Finidi George As New Coach

Two-time CAF Champions League winners, Enyimba FC of Aba has appointed former Super Eagles Winger, George Finidi as Coach of The Peoples Elephant.
Ex Super Eagles star Finidi George Has agreed terms with Enyimba Int’l to become their gaffer.

He replaces Fatai Osho who’s contract at the People’s Elephants ended yesterday.

The club did not extend the contract of former boss, Fatai Osho who joined Enyimba as an Assistant coach in 2019.

He penned an emotional farewell via his Official Facebook page.

He wrote:-
MY PROFOUND GRATITUDE

I use this medium to thank everyone for my journey of two years with this great club and institution which has now come to an end.

I want to thank all the players, coaches and management that have made it possible for us to achieve the little we were able to achieve during my time. I remain greatly indebted to your great support and cooperation through thick and thin.

I remain a huge fan of this massive club forever. I appreciate you all. I can’t just thank you enough.

The 50-year-old Finidi, who holds a UEFA B coaching certificate has coached the youth team of his former side, Real Betis and had an internship with Dutch side PEC Zwolle.

The sensational winger who also played for Iwuanyanwu National, Ipswich Town is a UEFA Champions League winner with Ajax in 1995.

This is his first stint as Coach.
