Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi, celebrated 14 years of marriage this week.
The former “Ellen DeGeneres Show” host, 64, posted on Instagram Tuesday a montage of some of her and the actress’ most memorable moments on her now-defunct daytime talk show.
The clip showed the couple being silly during an apple-picking competition and the “Not So Newlywed” game, and a more tender segment in which de Rossi, 49, presented DeGeneres with her Ellen DeGeneres Wildlife Fund.
“’It’s good to be loved. It’s profound to be understood.’ I love you, @portiaderossi. Happy 14! ❤️,” DeGeneres captioned the video.
De Rossi and DeGeneres wed in August 2008 in Los Angeles. An insider exclusively told Page Six at the time that the intimate ceremony only had 20 wedding guests.
The comedian and “Ally McBeal” alum’s celebratory milestone comes just days after DeGeneres’ ex-girlfriend, Anne Heche, tragically died due to injuries she sustained in a fiery car crash earlier this month.
The “Six Days, Seven Nights” star passed away last week at age 53 after suffering a severe anoxic brain injury, according to her rep.
Heche was kept on life support for some time until she could be matched with an organ recipient, but was declared brain dead on Aug. 5.
At that time, DeGeneres sent her condolences to her ex’s family on social media.
She tweeted, “This is a sad day. I’m sending Anne’s children, family and friends all of my love.”
DeGeneres and Heche dated from 1997 to 2000, and their relationship was deemed groundbreaking for the LGBTQ movement — as they were one of few lesbian couples in Hollywood.
At the time of their split in August 2022, the pair released a joint statement to People that read, “It is an amicable parting and we greatly value the 3 1/2 years we have spent together.”
Heche once said years after the break-up, “Those repercussions that happened, are to me what has created a part of the change. I’m a part of it. It is a badge of honor.”
DeGeneres met de Rossi in 2000 — the same year she and Heche broke up, but the now-married couple did not start dating until they reconnected at an award show in 2004.
