Popular Nigerian film actress, Efe Irele has tackled her senior colleague, Stella Damasus after the latter cautioned parents against putting their children on a leash.
Taking to her Instagram page, Damasus warned parents against using child harness on their kids, stating that children are not dogs and need not be in a leash.
*Child harness is a safety device worn by children and attached to another party when walking with a parent or carer.
Stella Damasus added that if kids are badly behaved and throwing tantrums they should speak with psychologists or seek professional help instead of using leashes.
Respectfully speaking against the point Damasus made in a blog’s comment section, Efe Irele stated that it is unfair to judge parents without understanding the reasons for their actions.
Citing a personal experience, Efe Irele disclosed that she has a 27-year-old brother living with autism and it was difficult to take him out in public without the leash when he was younger.
The actress added that parents should be allowed to choose the perfect way to protect and deal with their child without being judged.
