Edday and her three children moved to the US in May 2023 and it’s now clear she won’t go back to Kenya soon.
The mother of three was hosted by Bernice Saroni at her house in Boston, Massachusetts when she first arrived in the US.
In August 2023, Edday announced she had enrolled her children in school in the US.
In early September 2023, Edday announced that she had landed a new job and was moving into her own house.
A source close to Edday revealed that she took a mortgage to buy the house after successfully securing employment.
“She is servicing a mortgage; she did not settle in a rental house. In fact, her house is fully furnished,” the credible source said.
The source added that Edday is actively pursuing permanent relocation to the US, having already secured a fully furnished permanent residence.
Edday couldn’t get a job or enroll her children in school in the US with just a tourist visa. She applied for asylum when she landed in the US.
To seek asylum, one must already be in the U.S. and believed to be in danger of persecution if they return to their country.
