Nigerian singer, David Adedeji Adeleke known popularly as Davido took to social media to express disbelief that his friend, Cubana Chief Priest, could be jailed for six months amid alleged naira abuse.
This came in response to a post made by Cubana Chief Priest on Instagram.
Cubana Chief Priest had posted on his page after paying a sum of #10 million for alleged naira abuse: “Seeing all your messages and love, I’m so humbled. Now it’s confirmed CP no small money. Na water.”
The EFCC had arrested and arraigned the popular businessman in a notable Nigerian court for alleged naira abuse, but the businessman pleaded not guilty, after which he was granted 10 million naira bail.
Recently, online personality Bobrisky was arrested and arraigned for the same offense, where he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to six months in prison.
Amidst this, Davido rushed to the comment page of his celebrity best friend, Cubana Chief Priest. Using Bobrisky as a case, he declared that it is impossible for him not to see Cubana Chief Priest for six months.
His statement: “I no go see you for 6 months ke…. never”
