Cristiano Ronaldo sets a new record in Saudi Arabia

Cristiano Ronaldo has reacted to his record-breaking moment in the Saudi Arabia professional football league.

The Portuguese international achieved this feat when he scored a brace in the 2-0 victory over Al-Ittihad on Monday, May 28, 2024, taking his goal tally to 35. Cristiano Ronaldo, surpassed the initial record of 34 goals which was scored by Hamdallah during the 2018/19 season.

Cristiano Ronaldo took to his official social media accounts a few hours after the game to celebrate himself.

He said,

“Proud to make history as the first top scorer in 4 countries 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🇪🇸 🇮🇹 🇸🇦 A huge thank you to all the clubs, teammates and staff who helped me along the way.

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid player also achieved another milestone, becoming the first player to be the top scorer in four different countries, also became the first and only footballer in history to win the golden boot in four different leagues.

Ronaldo will hope that he can continue in this amazing form when he plays for Portugal at the Euro 2024 and most likely win the competition for the first time since 2016.
