It’s what the girl wants!
Nearly a decade after becoming engaged to guitarist Matthew Rutler, Christina Aguilera is still reportedly in no hurry to tie the knot with her longtime beau, per Us Weekly.
“There are no wedding plans at the moment. [Christina] and Matt are happy the way they are,” an informant dished to the tabloid.
“They’re one of those couples who don’t need a document to prove their love for each other,” the anonymous insider added.
The source also described the duo as “true homebodies,” elaborating that “they like to relax at home together just like any normal couple but also love going out and having date nights.”
It’s widely known that the lovebirds initially met on the set of “Burlesque,” the 2010 flick in which the now 41-year-old Aguilera starred as an aspiring singer working as a cocktail waitress before being taken under the wing of the club’s owner, played by Cher. Rutler, 37, was a set assistant on the film.
At the time, the “Genie in a Bottle” icon was going through a divorce with music producer Jordan Bratman, with whom she shares son Max, 14.
Rutler successfully proposed to the “Come On Over Baby” singer on Valentine’s Day of 2014, and the couple welcomed daughter Summer Rain, now 8 years old, in August of that year.
The source also mentioned to Us Weekly that Aguilera “loves being a mom,” but implied that there probably aren’t more kids in the cards for the former “Voice” judge.
“Christina is working on keeping her body the way it is and loves being on tour in the U.K. right now … She’s feeling really good and back in her element doing what she loves,” the tipster explained.
