Chris Wood wins Premier League player of the month

The Premier League body has named Nottingham Forest” ‘s forward player, Chris Wood as the best player for October 2024.

The announcement was made on the official website of the Premier League and every of their social media platforms on Friday, November 8, 2024. Chris Wood is the first player in the history of Nottingham Forest to be named Premier League’s player of the month.

Chris Wood emerged as the winner of the Premier League award having secured the highest number of votes among the eight players that were nominated for the award. The Australian international scored four goals in three games, he also helped Forest to move to third in the Premier League table after 10 games behind, Liverpool and Manchester City who are in first and second position respectively.

He scored in a draw at Chelsea and Forest’s 1-0 win over Palace before ending the month with a brace at Leicester. His goals helped Forest remain unbeaten through October 2024.

Other players on the list include Cole Palmer, Facundo Buonanotte, Josko Gvardiol, Bukayo Saka, Bryan Mbeumo, Martz Sels, and Nottingham Danny Welbeck.
