According to reports, Chelsea is preparing to make their first signing in the June 2024 transfer window, and they are showing a keen interest in the midfielder Georgiy Sudakov from Shakhtar Donetsk.
The Ukraine international, who is valued at £65 million, has scored eight goals for his club and country this season, including one in Shakhtar’s 3-0 victory over Odesa on Sunday.
Other clubs, such as Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool, have checked on his progress this season, while there is also interest from Italy.
According to the Daily Mail UK, Chelsea have reportedly discussed the financial terms with the representatives of a football player in recent weeks.
Meanwhile, Shakhtar chief executive, Sergei Palkin, was present at Stamford Bridge to watch Chelsea’s 6-0 victory over Everton. Palkin confirmed to the media that the player has a good chance of moving to a big club during this summer’s transfer window.
He added that they have been in contact with several big clubs, and while some are not directly negotiating with them, they are keeping an eye on the summer market.
