Head coach Enzo Maresca has confirmed the fears of numerous fans worldwide with his pre-match press conference where he confirmed that his side could be without three key players ahead of the second leg of the round of 16 fixture, Chelsea vs Copenhagen.
Speaking with reporters, Enzo Maresca revealed that players, Cole Palmer, Reece James and Christopher Nkunku all trained for the first time in the week on Wednesday, March 11, 2025, and as such they remain a doubt for the fixture.
He stated, ‘For Cole, Reece and Christo, today has been first session [of the week]. Yesterday they were not here and two days ago we had a rest. Today they trained with us, took part in the session, and we will see tomorrow if we can use some of them.’
When asked for additional information about Jackson, Enzo replied, ‘He could be back after the international break, Noni also. That’s good news. Now before the break we have two games, two efforts, tomorrow and Sunday, and then we have the international break and can recover energy, recover players, and then go for the last sprint.’
