Chelsea reportedly set to sign Pedro Neto from Wolves

Chelsea Football Club are reportedly set to sign their ninth player of the 2024 summer transfer window after agreeing on a deal with Wolves for Pedro Neto.

The Portuguese international who has been on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur since the start of the transfer window will be heading to the Blue side of London. Transfer news expert, Fabrizio Romano and other major sports news outlets have confirmed that Pedro Neto will complete his medicals at Chelsea and could be announced before the start of the 2024/25 season.

The winger was in fantastic form for Wolves last season after scoring three goals and registering 11 assists for the Premier League side despite being ruled out of action for three months due to a hamstring injury. The Portuguese winger, who has been capped 10 times by his country and was part of their Euro 2024 squad.

Neto would become Chelsea’s ninth summer signing, with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Filip Jorgensen, Omari Kellyman, Aaron Anselmino, Renato Veiga, Caleb Wiley, Marc Guiu and Tosin Adarabioyo having already joined the team.

The Blues could also be bringing in the tenth player as they are also set to sign Atletico Madrid striker Samu Omorodion for £34.5m, with midfielder Conor Gallagher set to move in the opposite direction in a separate £36m transfer.
