Chelsea Football Club are reportedly set to complete its first official signing ahead of the new football season (2022/23).
The Blues have reached an agreement with Leeds United, as it concerns the signing of Brazil’s winger, Raphinha. Transfer News expert, Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news on his official Twitter account on Tuesday, June 28th, 2022.
Both clubs have agreed on a transfer fee within the range of £60 million and £65 million. Chelsea is expected to pay the main part of the fee immediately. Todd Boehly has open talks with the Brazilian as it concerns personal terms and contracts.
Chelsea has also opened talks with the player’s agent, Deco, who played for the Blues under the Roman Abramovich Era. It was also reported that Arsenal and Leeds United had a meeting where the Gunners made a verbal bid which was rejected.
