Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has penned down an apology to the club’s supporters after missing a penalty during a Premier League match against West Ham on Sunday, April 16.
Saka had a chance to hand Arsenal a 3-1 lead early in the second half of his side’s clash with West Ham at the London Stadium, but he sent the ball well wide of the post.
The match eventually ended 2-2 and gave Arsenal’s rivals Manchester City another push in the race for the trophy.
Hours after the match was concluded, Saka sent out an apology to Arsenal’s fans. He wrote;
“Regardless of the outcome, I’ll always accept my responsibility. Apologies Gunners, I’ll do everything I can to make it right”
