Britney Spears might want to take a social media break if she wants to see her sons anytime soon.
Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, haven’t seen their mom in six months and there’s no sign of a rapprochement in sight, their dad, Kevin Federline, has said, TMZ reported Saturday.
The boys were especially put off after Spears called them out for being “hateful” in their conduct toward her an Instagram post last month, sources told TMZ.
“While I will not comment on whether there were or were not regular custodial exchanges, one must consider that the comments about the boys such as those that were recently published hardly create a pro custodial environment,” Federline’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan told the outlet. “This is something that the parties involved will have to work out over time.”
Britney posted about her sons again Thursday in response to an interview Jayden did, claiming that Britney paid him more attention than Preston.
In response, Britney wrote, “”Finally at 40 without the restraints of what my family did to me … I say to my son Jayden that I send all the love in the world to you every day for the rest of my life!!! My love for my children has no boundaries.”
She also posted on Friday, suddenly revealing in a rambling message about her collaboration with Elton John that Preston was angry because she’d put something online about him against his wishes.
“He stopped seeing me … I posted something of him, but he got really mad so unfortunately, I haven’t been able to post my loving family,” she lamented, according to The Sun.
Last month, Kaplan said Britney’s boys don’t feel comfortable around her and Kevin posted some videos the boys recorded under Britney’s care where she disciplined them.
Spears and Federline have been at odds since Federline did an interview with a UK tabloid this summer talking about Britney and the kids.
New clips from that interview will air Sunday on “60 Minutes: Australia.”
