Xavi Hernandez has decided to change his mind and stay as the head coach of Barcelona, according to reputable writer Fabrizio Romano.
Following today’s meeting and club president Joan Laporta’s request that he stay, Xavi has accepted Barcelona’s terms and will continue to serve as head coach.
Only formal actions need to be taken to continue the partnership.
Xavi, who was a legend for Barcelona as a player, has been leading the Catalan team since the fall of 2021. Under his guidance, the “blaugranas” won the league and Spanish Sopercopa in 2023.
In the current campaign, Barcelona trail Real Madrid by 11 points with six rounds remaining in the championship and maintain only theoretical chances of claiming the title.
