Boniface shares photos of individual training after months of nursing adductor injury

Bayer Leverkusen’s star striker Victor Boniface has returned to individual training, after months of nursing an adductor injury.

The Nigerian forward has been sidelined since January due to the injury, but is now making light runs in training.

Boniface on Saturday, shared photos of his training on his official X account, to the delight of his teeming fans.

Recall he was recently placed “on schedule” in his recovery by Leverkusen’s Sporting Director, Simon Rolfes.

He is also expected to return to full team training by April, revealed Rofles.

Boniface’s return is particularly important as he is Leverkusen’s leading scorer this season with 16 goals and eight assists in 23 games.

His absence was keenly felt, especially after missing out on the Africa Cup of Nations for Nigeria’s Super Eagles.

Leverkusen will be hope to reintegrate the 23-year-old into the squad as they continue their Bundesliga campaign, where they are in contention for the title, leading with 10 points.
