Biggie cancels Custodian challenge and HOH ballot, reinstates Immunity for Head of House

In a recent update for Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) Season 9, the show’s organisers have announced significant rule changes, including the removal of the Custodian Challenge and the HOH ballot.

Host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu shared these updates during Sunday’s live show. The Custodian Challenge and Head of House (HOH) ballot were initially introduced to add new twists to the season.

Custodians had the power to influence evictions and the HOH ballot, and they were exempt from eviction themselves. However, these features have now been removed.

In response to these changes, the role of Head of House has been restored to include Immunity. Nevertheless, the “save and replace” power previously granted to the HOH has been eliminated.

Additionally, housemates will no longer have the authority to vote for the eviction of the bottom four pairs.

Under the revised rules, housemates are now responsible for nominating pairs for eviction. The final decision on which pairs are evicted will be determined by viewer votes.
