Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies ruled out for Leverkusen clash

Bayern Munich’s left-back Alphonso Davies has been sidelined for two to three weeks due to a knee injury.

Accoridng to reports by Sky Germany, the Canadian international sustained an injury during Bayern’s 3-1 win over Borussia Mönchengladbach

He was forced off the pitch with a strained medial ligament in his left knee.

Consequently, Davies will now miss Bayern’s upcoming matches against Bayer Leverkusen and the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Lazio.

However, Raphaël Guerreiro is expected to fill in at left-back in Davies’ absence, which adds to Bayern’s injury woes this season.

The German champions have been plagued by injuries, and their trip to Leverkusen will see them without at least six senior players.
