Bahati Reunites With His Daughters 10 Years After He Adopted Them

Bahati has three known foster children whom he adopted in 2014; a boy and two girls.

The singer adopted Morgan, Purity and Rose sometimes in 2014; the kids were age 4, 4, and 10 years respectively when Bahati took them in.

Bahati recently shared an emotional reunion with the two girls in a heartfelt video posted on his wife Diana Bahati’s YouTube channel.

The reunion, held at Bahati’s home, marked a touching moment of reconnection after years of separation, as Bahati reflected on the challenges that had kept them apart.

During his early years in the music industry, Bahati had fostered both Rose and Purity along with his son, Morgan.

However, his desire to legally adopt the girls was thwarted due to his youth and legal restrictions.

Bahati explained that at the time, he lacked the resources and legal standing to become their full-time guardian.

“I was young and struggling, and legally, I wasn’t in a position to adopt them, especially since they were girls,” Bahati recalled.

Despite his bond with the children, he found himself in a position where he couldn’t meet the requirements to keep them with him.

This difficult reality forced Bahati to make a tough decision. Unable to provide a permanent home for all three children, he decided to raise Morgan and return Rose and Purity to the children’s home where they had been living.

“It was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made,” he said, admitting that the separation weighed heavily on him for years. Despite this, he remained committed to supporting the girls however he could.

Over the years, Bahati continued to offer help to Rose and Purity, even though they didn’t live under the same roof.

The reunion marked the first time they had come together as a family in a long time, an emotional experience for everyone involved.

“I’ve always wanted to know how they were doing,” Bahati said. “It’s been a tough journey for them, but I’m happy we are here today.”

Bahati’s desire to care for others stems from his own experience growing up in a children’s home.

After achieving success with his breakout song “Mama,” he felt a deep need to give back to the place that had shaped his early life.

“I knew the best way to make a difference was to give a child a chance at a better life,” he shared, reflecting on the motivations behind his efforts to foster children.

The reunion with Rose and Purity was a powerful reminder of Bahati’s commitment to helping children in need, showing that his support has endured even through legal and personal challenges.
