ASUU declares strike in Bayelsa varsity

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, have declared an indefinite strike at the Bayelsa State Government-owned Niger Delta University.

The strike according to the association, is due to the government’s alleged failure to honour agreements reached with the union.

The strike action was announced on Tuesday following a meeting at the union’s secretariat in Amassoma.

Details of the union’s grievances and the impact of the strike on academic activities at NDU are expected to unfold in the coming days.
