Premier League heavyweights Arsenal’s £14m bid for Galatasaray star Sacha Boey has been turned down by the Turkish club.
Daily Mail reported that Boey has impressed during his second season at the Turkish club, starting 29 matches in the league. His performances have contributed to Galatasaray’s push for the Turkish Super Lig title, with Okan Buruk’s side holding a five-point lead over Fenerbahce.
Galatasaray wants at least £21 million for the highly-rated full-back defender who has also been linked with fellow Premier League side Crystal Palace.
Earlier this week, Galatasaray’s vice president, Erden Timur, traveled to London for talks with Arsenal over a deal for Boey.
With the transfer window not even open yet, there is a lot of time for negotiations to continue. The offer and the price tag are not far off, so they should be able to reach an agreement.
The Gunners are looking to strengthen their squad next season. They finished second this season but will want to go one better next season.
