Manchester United ended a difficult run in Europe with a 2-0 win over PAOK, thanks to a brilliant brace from Amad Diallo.
The 22-year-old winger, who was filling in for Marcus Rashford, impressed, providing United with a much-needed win in the Europa League.
Diallo’s first goal came five minutes into the second half. Bruno Fernandes delivered a deep ball to the far post, which Diallo headed, looping it over PAOK’s goalkeeper, Dominik Kotarski.
The goal was briefly under VAR review but was confirmed.
Despite PAOK’s efforts, they couldn’t capitalize on a golden chance in the 64th minute when Tarik Tissoudali missed from close range, firing directly at Andre Onana.
Diallo’s second came in the 77th minute. Christian Eriksen’s long pass put PAOK’s Abdul Baba under pressure.
Diallo seized the opportunity, wresting control of the ball and curling a beautiful strike from the edge of the box to seal the win.
This victory marked United’s first European victory in 383 days and offered a glimpse of hope for the Red Devils in the competition.
