Actor Charles Inojie calls out female colleagues using Nollywood as platform to sell their bodies

Nigerian actor and comedian Charles Inojie didn’t hold back in shedding light on a pressing issue that seems to have deeply entrenched itself within the Nollywood industry.

In a recent appearance on OAP Nedu’s podcast, the star of “The Johnsons” unveiled a troubling phenomenon that has corroded the very essence of the film world.

Inojie boldly pointed out that there’s a group of women who have donned the actress’s cloak not to dazzle audiences with their talent but to mask their unsavory methods of wealth accumulation.

He reteirated that some of these individuals, despite boasting of awards, possess an empty filmography with no cinematic gems to their name.

In essence, he contended that they’re more skilled at trading their body than delivering stellar performances, amassing luxurious cars and mansions under the guise of the acting profession, averred that in actual reality, they didn’t make it past the audition stage.

This is coming after Inojie’s colleague, Kanayo O Kanayo, recently shared similar endearing views about the Nigerian movie industry.

Kanayo O Kanayo, during a recent interview with Afia TV, slammed actors and actresses involved in BBLs, runs, and homosexuality, noting the movie industry should not be a ground for such.

He also noted that Nollywood should not be a retirement ground for people who failed in other spheres of life.

The veteran actor also called out social media influencers, whom he described as Instagram stars, as one of the biggest causes of the disrespect currently shown to Nollywood.
