After days of electricity supply without interruption following the installation of the Geometric power Plant, residents of Aba, Abia State, have taken to the internet to celebrate.
The governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, stated that the Geometric Power Plant project was the outcome of the power to dream. He also mentioned that Aba is now open to national and international business as a result of the power project.
On Monday, February 26, President Bola Tinubu inaugurated the Geometric Power Plant in Aba, 20 years after former Minister of Power Barth Nnaji first proposed the project.
On Sunday, February 25, 2024, one of the plant’s four turbines was turned on, and ever since, certain areas of Aba have had a steady supply of electricity.
In an online video, a resident is seen applauding Governor Alex Otti and declaring that Aba is the new hot spot.
