A New York cab driver is dead after a group of people jumped him in the middle of the street. The NYPD has released video of the fatal attack, and it’s honestly hard to watch.
Kutin Gyimah, 52, chased a group of 5 people down the street after they attempted to ditch the ride without paying. He caught up to them and held one person down, sources have said to the Post, but the other returned and ganged up on him. The group then started to beat him up, with one man striking a fatal blow to his head. In the footage, the group can be seen walking away from Gyimah as he lies helplessly on the ground.
Gyimah was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. He leaves behind a wife and four children.
Two of the male suspects, both aged 20, reportedly surrendered to the police. One of them, Austin Amos, is believed to be the one to throw the fatal punch. Three teenage girls, aged 13, 15, and 16, are still being searched for by police.
The New York State Federation of Taxi Drivers is offering a $15,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. This is senseless!
