A K-12 Christian school in Verico has emailed parents of gay, transgender, and nonbinary students that their children will be asked to leave as it condemns their “lifestyle.”

The email was issued by administrator Barry McKeen at Grace Christian School, which reads, “We believe that God created mankind in His image: male (man) and female (woman), sexually different but with equal dignity.

Therefore, one’s biological sex must be affirmed, and no attempts should be made to physically change, alter, or disagree with one’s biological gender.” According to Insider, the email included cited verses from the Bible, and McKeen claimed the texts condemned the “elective sex reassignment, transvestite, transgender, or non-binary gender fluid acts of conduct.” Additionally, McKee said the students would be referred to their assigned gender at birth and their birth name.

At the end of the message, McKeen said any students “participating in these lifestyles will be asked to leave the school immediately” and noted that parents must agree to the policy before school starts in August.
