Nollywood actress Nse Ikpe-Etim has recounted the first time she met veteran actress and singer Onyeka Onwenu. According to her, it was not a pleasant encounter.
Actress Nse Ikpe-Etim disclosed that Onyeka was very mean to her the very first day they met. She made this revelation at the media parley of the veteran actress’ book launch titled “My Father’s Daughter.
During the book launch of veteran actress Onyeka Onwenu, she disclosed during the press conference that actress Nse Ikpe-Etim is not given the necessary recognition she deserves in the movie industry and is underrated.
Also, Onyeka also shared stories of how a lot of people had a negative perception of her. She stated that people think she is mean and is always frightened to associate themselves with her, however, she is in no hurry to correct that mentality.
Making such a statement, Nse Etim affirmed that she was one of those people who got scared by the sight of Onyeka Onwenu. According to Ese, she met the veteran when she went for an interview and while she was waiting, the veteran made a chance in, and instead of them attending to her (Nse), they attended to Onyeka.
This did not sit well with Nse who mentioned that ever since that incident, she kept her distance from her when they meet at events. She disclosed how Onyeka met her at an event where she held her hand and started talking to her when she broke down in tears.
Nse added that since that time, she realized the veteran actress was a nice person she had a negative perception about.
