Has anyone got any update from the 30BG star? Any new release? Any gist whatsoever?
It’s been quite a few times we’ve gladly hear from Davido’s signee, Mayorkun.
However, Mayorkun had a triumphant career being in 30BG with a remarkable “The Mayor Of Lagos” album which accumulated millions of streams across all platforms.
Recall that the whole industry endorsed the self-acclaimed Mayor Of Lagos as one of the best artists more even his collaboration he had with label boss on “The Best“. He was even tipped to fit the Best Artiste category that year 2020.
Consistency has brought Mayorkun so far and ideological he shouldn’t have taken that for granted.
On the contrary, I’m trying to relate that the new revelations (Omah Lay, Buju, Zinoleesky, Fireboy, Oxlade and more) are more responsible for the disappearance of the old cargos (Reekado Banks, Kizz Daniel, others and now Mayorkun).

Just after the frustrating 2020 year, he’s been ghosting till this moment, no major hit, no controversy, no anticipation of a project.
Just like Kizz Daniel who ghosted on his followers and music fans immediately after the release of the “King Of Love” album.
Unfortunately, these artists going silent or taking a break from music never know it weakens their credibility and diminishes buzz.
Even if artists tend to relax from music, he/she should have substituted it for controversy during that break, at least it will keep their momentum for a while.
This will surely affect Mayorkun when resuming back to the office according to my personal research.
