Former Ajax footballer Jerge Hoefdraad has died after being shot in the head at a party in Amsterdam-Zuidoost.
The 35-year old was trying to break up an argument at a party on Sunday, August 1, when he was shot, according to his former club.
Despite being rushed to hospital and having urgent treatment, his situation remained critical and he sadly did not survive
Dutch outlet De Telegraaf report that Hoefdraad died on Monday, August 2, from the serious injuries that he sustained.

Hoefdraad began his career at Ajax alongside the likes of Ryan Babel and Urby Emanuelson, going on to play for RKC Waalwijk, Almere City, Telstar, Cambuur before signing for ASC De Volewijckersearlier this year.
Cambuur wrote on their official Twitter account: “It is with great sadness that we have learned of the death of our former player Jerge Hoefdraad.
“On behalf of everyone at SC #Cambuur We wish all family, friends and relatives a lot of strength.”
