A Nigerian airline is facing criticism on social media after a passenger, Godwin Enakhena, shared a photo of his in-flight meal, sparking widespread disappointment among netizens.
@genakhena who posted the image on X (formerly Twitter), expressed frustration at both the service and the food offering, showing that passengers on his flight were served only a single sachet of biscuits and water.
The passenger noted that his morning flight had been rescheduled to 2 p.m., adding to his frustration with what he described as the “anyhowness” of domestic flight operations in Nigeria.
“Because of the anyhowness of domestic flight operations in Nigeria, my morning flight was rescheduled to 2 pm. This is what we were served on board!” he captioned the post.
While Enakhena did not disclose the airline’s name, his experience has spurred a broader conversation about the quality of service, particularly regarding flight delays and in-flight provisions on Nigerian airlines.
The post quickly gained traction online, with many Nigerians commenting on the perceived low standards and lack of customer care in domestic air travel.
A user @Lord_of_Nigeria stated, “On a second thought, I wonder what other areas they’re cutting cost on. I am worried about air travel safety in light of these continuous cost cuttings going on.”
