BBNaija star Vee recently opened up about her feelings towards love, admitting that she has never truly experienced it.
Speaking during an interview on the “Dear Ife” podcast, Vee shared that genuine love requires a level of trust and vulnerability that she has not yet achieved.
She explained that while she has been in relationships, she hasn’t reached the emotional depth needed to fully experience what it means to be in love.
Vee’s candid admission has sparked conversations about love, trust, and vulnerability in relationships.
“I don’t think I’ve ever been in love. To enjoy love, you have to have no guard and completely trust someone, and I think that’s why I haven’t been able to ever truly be there yet. I’ve loved someone, but I don’t think I’ve ever been in love, blindly in love,” she shared.
Vee also noted that while she can overlook certain red flags in a relationship, lying is something she cannot tolerate.
“There is always something, and I’m someone who would see a red flag and fold it into my pocket, but I’m aware of it. Everyone has their red flags, but one major one that causes me to step back and keep my guard up is lies,” she explained.
She went on to recount a past experience where another woman messaged her with allegations about her partner’s loyalty.
Vee confronted him, but his inconsistent responses made her suspect he was lying.
“I’ve been in a situation where a random account messaged me with screenshots, saying they had been sending naked pictures to my partner. She said she wanted to test our relationship on my behalf, and he had seen them and liked a few. When I confronted him, he said people were sharing his account with him, but the story didn’t add up. I just knew lies were being told because you can always sense when someone is lying,” she concluded.
