Protus Wechuli Sifuna, the Saboti location chief now known as misheveve chief, has been trending after his old video while  in the line of duty went viral.

What has captivated Kenyans is how he gave a vivid description of how the events occurred. In the incident, a son confronted his mother for cooking pumpkin leaves(misheveve) yet he wanted another vegetable known as sarat. His father intervened when he laid his hands on the mother.

Speaking to 2mbili TV, the chief further elaborated on the shocking incident, revealing that it happened in 2010, just three years after he was posted to the location.

“We took a legal action against the son. It was a criminal offence and when one has committed felony such measures have to be taken against the same person, he is a culprit. He was sentenced to jail. The years that the judge sentenced him them even if he was released or he is still in jail, we are content that justice prevailed and the moral justice also haunts him for killing his own father because of sarat and misheveve,” he said.

The mother who was confronted by his son over the type of vegetables she was cooking survived and is still alive while the father was laid to rest the same year.

The chief however said that he loves his work and does it with passion. He was  a high school teacher before joining administration..

“In this work, once you took the oath to serve citizens you have to accomplish even if it becomes a burden. You have to achieve the objectives even if there are challenges. We are not here to punish people we want to ensure that everyone get their right,” Wechuli said.
