He attributed his abstinence to what he referred to in a lighthearted manner as “menses.”
During the conversation, Simple Boy remarked, “Sijawahi enda sleepover kwa dem na dem hajawahi kuja kwangu sleepover. Mimi mpaka nifanye ndoa. Nime-abstain mpaka ndoa,” which means he has never had a sleepover with a girl nor allowed one to spend the night at his place, insisting he will remain abstinent until marriage.
In a comedic twist, he claimed that he had been experiencing menses throughout this period of celibacy.
“Huu mwaka sijajihusisha kwa mambo ya ngono kwa sababu ya hedhi. Nilianza kunyesha miaka miwili iliyopita. Hunyesha pembe ya ndovu lakini nikifeel, huwa naoga na maji baridi,” he joked, suggesting that these “menses” influence his decisions and that he often resorts to cold showers for relief.
Stevo went on to explain that he is taking a step back from dating and marriage to focus on his burgeoning music career.
He has established his own music label, Stevo Simple Boy’s Empire, and currently has one artist signed under him, a talent named Machabe.
