Ex-Super Eagles player, John Ogu gave a hint about Victor Osimhen’s future via his official X account on Thursday, August 22, 2024. According to him, the Nigerian forward player will be a Chelsea player in a matter of days. Victor Osimhen’s future at Napoli is uncertain, with the Nigerian striker expected to leave the Serie A side at the end of the season. Osimhen has been linked to several top European clubs, including Premier League teams Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool, as well as Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

The future of the 2023 CAF player of the year was cut short following the arrival of Antonio Conte who immediately made it known to the club that he wanted to work with Romelu Lukaku, a player that he has worked with in the past. The Naples are working round the clock to see how they can reach a deal with Chelsea which will see the bring the Belgian to the Diego Maradona Stadium before the 2024 summer transfer window closes.
Despite signing a contract extension with Napoli until 2026, Osimhen has hinted that he has already made up his mind about his next move. Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has also acknowledged that Osimhen’s departure is likely, stating that the club knew he would leave for one of the top European clubs since last summer.
However, Chelsea supporters will hope the club can reach an agreement with Victor Osimhen and all the parties involved as they are in desperate need of a striker if they are to compete for any competition this season.
