In an emotional video shared across social media platforms, Syokau expressed the profound challenges she has faced for over a decade, stemming from her breakup with her ex-husband.
The single mother, who has one child, disclosed that her fear has significantly impacted her life, making it difficult for her to find a suitable partner.
“There is an issue that has been bothering me, something that has been troubling me greatly, and sometimes I don’t have the strength to speak about it. I thought it was best to share so that you can help me mentally; please pray for me, pastors, meet and pray for me because this has been troubling me for 11 years,” Syokau revealed.
“I have been alone and lonely for more than 11 years, and I am afraid of men. What many people don’t realize is that while I may appear talkative, I am deeply fearful of men ever since I was left by my ex. It’s as if I’m haunted by the fear of being hurt again. When someone shows interest in me, I often find myself shocked and unable to carry on the conversation,” she further elaborated.
Syokau also recounted her traumatic experiences with her ex-husband, revealing that she faced sexual abuse, leading to their divorce in 2013.
Following the separation, she found herself homeless in Nairobi, claiming that her parents refused to welcome her back, stating they were not prepared to live with a daughter who had a child.
