The Blues made the announcements on its official website on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. According to reports from the club, Pedro Neto will wear the number 19 jersey going into the new season.
The winger joined Chelsea on Sunday, August 11, 2024. He signed a seven-year deal, which will keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2031. The Portuguese international was presented to the supporters at Stamford Bridge during the half-time of the friendly game against Inter Milan.
He will join Tosin Adarabioyo, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Filip Jorgensen, Omari Kellyman, and Aaron Anselmin. Other players that have joined Chelsea include Caleb Wiley, Renato Veiga, and Marc Guiu, who have also joined, along with Estevao Willian, who will join the club until 2025.
Pedro went on to make 135 appearances for the club and last season contributed to 11 goals in 20 Premier League appearances. He established himself as a regular in the Portugal squad during his time at Molineux and has won ten caps, the last of which came during this summer’s European Championship.
Chelsea supporters will hope that Neto can remain fit and be in good form as they begin their Premier League season against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, August 18, 2024.
