Juventus have finalized a €50 million agreement to sign Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz, according to reports.
This move comes as Villa looks to address profit and sustainability rule concerns by offloading the Brazilian international.
Arsenal, long-term admirers of Luiz, have been beaten to by the Serie A giants.
As part of the deal, Juventus will send Samuel Iling-Junior and Enzo Barrenechea to Villa this summer.
Luiz has been a key contributor to Villa’s successful season that saw them finish fourth in the Premier League, securing a Champions League spot.
The 26-year-old contributed ten goals and ten assists in 53 appearances across all competitions last season. Luiz joined Villa from Manchester City in 2019 and has since been instrumental at Villa Park.
Unai Emery’s side will welcome 20-year-old midfielder and former Chelsea youth star Iling-Junior, and Barrenechea, a defensive midfielder, to add to their squad as part of the deal.
