Following a non-existent form in the Premier League for Man United in the 2023/2024 season, England international Mason Mount is poised to miss a few games for the Red Devils after it was revealed in a pre-match press conference that he would miss the Manchester United vs Arsenal fixture.
With just three games left to the end of the season, questions have been raised as to whether Mount would be back from injury as soon as possible to feature in the final games of the season.
Mason Mount Injury news
On Friday, May 11, 2924, Erik Ten Hag in his pre-match press conference ahead of the Manchester United vs Arsenal premier league fixture confirmed that Mason Mount would not be available for selection in the game as he picked up a knock a few weeks after his return from an initial injury.
Ten Hag didn’t disclose the nature of Mason Mount’s new injury but the Red Devils coach stated, “I have to report unfortunately yesterday Mason Mount fell out, so he will not be available for Sunday,”
Will Mason Mount still play for Man United this season?
Erik Ten Hag has confirmed that although Mason Mount will miss the fixture against Arsenal on Sunday, May 12, 2024, due to injury, the England international will still be available for selection this season as his knock is a minor one.
He confirmed, “It’s a minor issue for Mason Mount. He is definitely not out for the season – a couple of days, and then he will return. Maybe Newcastle is too short, but I think he can be available for Brighton”.
