Turkish giants Galatasaray have triggered the buy option clause for on-loan Chelsea and Morocco player Hakim Ziyech.
According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the forward will sign a permanent deal to remain at Galatasaray.
“Hakim Ziyech will not return to Chelsea as he’s staying at Galatasaray on permanent move.
“Obligation to buy clause, triggered and signed as Chelsea already sent letter to Gala confirming the agreement,” Romano revealed on X.
Galatasaray had initially agreed to pay Chelsea €3.58m (£3m) in a loan fee, with another €2.85m if they make the move permanent at the end of this season.
Ziyech, 31, was Chelsea’s first signing following the end of their transfer ban in 2020/2021 season, at £33m from Ajax.
