Rachael Okonkwo, Nosa Rex & others celebrate late Junior Pope on his 1st posthumous birthday

Family and friends in the Nollywood industry continued to mourn late actor Johnpaul Obumneme Odonwodo, popularly known as Junior Pope, as he marked his first posthumous birthday.

Nollywood actors Nosa Rex, Rachael Okonkwo, and Rita Edochie flocked to social media to pay respect to the late actor, who died in a boat accident on his way back from a movie shoot in Anambra state.

Junior Pope was supposed to turn 44 years old today, May 7th, but he died unexpectedly on April 10th, leaving great scars in the hearts of his fans and family.

Recently, late pope’s family released a new burial arrangement, showing that the actor will be laid to rest in May 17.

Celebrating his posthumous birthday, his friend and colleague, Nosa Rex, known for his explicit movie role, wrote, “Normally we suppose dey celebrate you today . Baba since you never rest. Happy birthday to you”.

Stanley Ontop wrote, “First birthday, without your family, Fans and colleagues, it really saddened my heart that we won’t see you no more. Death took you away from us like a thief but in all things we give thanks to God.”
