Mike Uchegbu drags Nollywood for lack of system in industry

Nigerian actor, Mike Uchegbu, calls out Nollywood over the wrongdoings in the industry as he questions why Jnr Pope was not given a life jacket.

The actor made an 8-minute long video, lamenting over the unfortunate incident that could have been avoided.

Mike stated that nobody should have to lose their lives while trying to find their daily bread.

According to him, Jnr Pope should have not agreed to journeying through the water without a life jacket, especially considering how poor the health care system is incase of emergency.

He further expressed his sympathy for Jnr Pope’s family, especially his wife and children who would never see him again.

Mike Uchegbu implored the Nollywood industry to halt all movie productions and make demands for things to be done right.

He added that many others have lost their lives in a quest to produce movies and this case was just widely publicized because Jnr Pope was popular.

The actor admitted his understanding that many of them are hustling to make money in the industry, however, they must collectively demand that things are done in the right manner.
