Morocco asserted dominance against Tanzania in a 3-0 encounter at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) holding in Ivory Coast.
The Wednesday evening clash saw goals from Romain Saiss, Azzedine Ounahi and Youssef En-Nesyri.
Saiss broke the deadlock for his team at the half hour mark, giving them the edge in the first 45 minutes.
Despite efforts by Tanzania to pull back a leveller in the second half, Moroccans held tight in their defense.
Meanwhile, things got worse when Tanzania’s Novatus Miroshi was booked the second time in the 70th minute, forcing his team to continue with just 10 men.
However, Morocco wasted no time to capitalize on the opportunity, scoring their second just seven minutes later, courtesy of Ounahi’s finish.
En-Nesyri made it three in the 80th minute to seal off the victory and have his side take all three points in their first Group F match.
