Cameroon played out a 1-1 draw against in-form Guinea side in their first match of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The Indomitable Lions conceded first in the encounter held at the Stade Charles Konan Banny, with a 10-minute goal by Mohamed Bayo.
However, Guinea were tamed shortly before half time, as Francois Kamano bagged a straight red card.
This handed Cameroonians the leverage to level the score just six minutes into the second half, with goal by Frank Magri.
Despite having an edge to pull a comeback, the Cameroonians struggled to a 1-1 draw, sharing equal point with their opponent.
Recall earlier, Senegal asserted their claim as Africa’s best team, with a 3-0 win over Gambia, which saw them maintain the top spot in Group C.
