A Nigerian man has left netizens in stitches with his response to a job rejection email from a company in the UK.
After applying for a support worker position at the company, Dayo received an email from the HR department stating that his application was unsuccessful.
However, instead of accepting the rejection, Dayo crafted a witty reply that took the internet by storm.
Dayo’s response to the HR representative in post a post shared on X by @HenryHennery, showcased his determination to secure the job.
In his email, he expressed gratitude for the previous response and humorously declined the rejection itself.
Dayo boldly announced that he would be present at the company’s premises on the 9th of January to acquaint himself with the team.
He wrote;
“Dear HR, Thank you for your response. I could sense the empathy in the previous email. However, I regret to inform you that I reject your rejection. I will be present on the premises on the 9th of January to acquaint myself with the team. Best wishes, Dayo.”
The HR representative, Sonia, was taken aback by Dayo’s humorous response. In her reply, she thanked him for his email but pointed out that his CV stated he was based in Nigeria.
Confused by Dayo’s intention to visit the premises in person, Sonia requested clarification on which premises he intended to visit, reminding him that the company was based in the UK.
She wrote; “Good afternoon Dayo,
Thank you for your email, your cv states that you are based in Nigeria, therefore could you please tell me which premises you intend to visit on the 9th January? As we are based in the UK.
Kind regards.
Sonia.”
The unexpected exchange between Dayo and Sonia added another layer of amusement to the story, leaving netizens eagerly awaiting Dayo’s amazed.
